Beautiful Saturday Drive Leads to Pleasant Discovery

If you have been visiting our site for any short length of time, you may have noticed that when I discover a place that I think has a quality that makes it a unique find, I like to pass the word on to the rest of my friends. (Of course, if you find some place or thing you really want to let others know about on this site, hit the contact menu button and pass it on to us.)...

Today (Saturday) is simply beautiful. The sun was shining and the air was unseasonably warm, making for one of those special fall days that kids recall wistfully when they grow a few decades older. It just burns a memory that stays forever. So I took a drive to a place (that I heard about from a friend) that is currently only open on Fridays and Saturdays. It is a winery named Black Sheep Vineyard.

Just going into the building was a pleasant experience. It is absolutely beautiful inside-- the woodwork is warm and welcoming. There are several things you might want to buy such as wine glasses or gift baskets and more. They bottle their own wine and have a nice selection. The host, Becky, was very pleasant and encouraged me to taste several different types to be sure I got what I wanted. The best thing is that the price for everything was well within reason.

If you get itchy and want to go somewhere different, I highly recommend this experience. They are on State Route 250 just south of the intersection of State Route 150, between Pleasant Grove and Harrisville, Ohio. Visit their website to get the hours and exact location. You should definitely enjoy your entire time there from when you walk in to when you leave. If you go, be sure to let us know what you thought about it.

I stopped there a few weeks back and thought the prices are pretty reasonable. I like to drink wine for the health benefits and they have a great dark wine that I just love. It is sweet with just a little zing. And its only about $10 for a bottle. I've told a few of my friends about it. Would be great for Christmas gifts, which is what I plan to do.
