In fact, it is estimated that several million earthuakes occur in the world every year. Thankfully, most of them are very mild and only a few come any where near those that make the evening news.

    We now have a menu link to it; just click on the "News" menu item at the top of the page. Or you can also reach it by clicking here. We think you will be pleasantly surprised by the much easier layout that allows you to look at all the news from a single page.

    UPDATE- MON 2/15/2010:
    I really hope that this is the last SNOW update. The roads and sidewalks were just getting under control and here we are expecting a good bit of snow yet again! We are expected to get another 4 to 8 inches of snow by tomorrow evening. I am so ready for spring. And, just to add salt to the wound, the average high for today is 40 degrees.

    This is just a short notice for you. We have been very busy lately, making improvements to the site.

    First, you will now notice that at the bottom of many pages, you will see links that allow you to send articles to a friend's (or your own) email. Also, there are links for printer-friendly versions of the page; useful for when you want to print out something like an event notice without all of the surrounding page frames.

    We have just become aware of a display problem in older Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers. We will be working on making coding corrections to fix the problem over the next couple of days.

    The Microsoft browsers are problematic because they don't observe the display rules well at all. We want to take a moment to suggest that if you are using one of these browsers, consider installing the Firefox browser.
